walapaFx is a walapa application that features a NSE(Nairobi Stock Exchange) simulation game and a myPositions tool used to track shares you own or are interested in.

Walapa has created a situation whereby a person receives virtual(not real) money each week. He/she has an opportunity to buy / sell stocks of companies that he/she is interested in. At the end of the game, the person who has made the most money is the winner.

Currently, the game runs continuously.

Before you put your money in the NSE, it would be good to try it out in a game. Students doing finance / accounting can also learn through actual simulation. People abroad can also have a chance to compare the international markets to the NSE market and also decide for themselves if the NSE market is a good playing ground compared to other international markets.

The myPositions tool is a way for each user to create a list of stocks that he/she are interested in or own.

The actual value of each share in the list is displayed. The number of shares the user is interested in tracking. The total value of shares for a particular company. The total value of all the shares in the list.

One can use the tool to track the performance of a group of stocks. The myPositions tool can also be used as a watch-list for shares one is interested in.
